Set the look every new tribute starts with, add your logo, music, images and videos, and choose invite limits and emails.

1. Default tribute settings

Save your usual scenes, music, background and timing once, so every new tribute starts with them.

Open your Dashboard and click the Settings tab.
Click Tribute Defaults.
Open Opening Scene Defaults, Opening Portrait Defaults and Closing Scene Defaults. Turn each scene on or off, and set its text, name, date, fonts, colours and Duration.
Open Music Default to choose music from the library, upload your own, or choose No Music.
Open Background Default to choose a colour, image or video.
Set Image Display Time with the minus and plus buttons, from 5 to 10 seconds.
Turn on Random Transitions or Auto-Sync Images to Music if you want them.

Changes save straight away. They apply to new tributes you create from now on, not to tributes that already exist.

What does Auto-Sync Images to Music do?

It sets how long each photo shows so the photos match the length of the music. Videos and the scenes keep their own timing.

Can I add more than one song?

Yes. Add several tracks and they play one after another, in the order shown.

Can the family still change these?

Yes. Defaults are only where each new tribute starts.

2. Your logos

Add your funeral home's logo to tributes and choose where it shows, how big it is and how see-through.

Go to the Settings tab and click Tribute Defaults.
Open Brand Logo and click Upload logo. A PNG with a see-through background works best.
Switch on Show my logo on tributes.
Choose a Position, a Size (Small, Medium or Large) and how See-through it is. 100% is solid.
Under Show the logo on, tick Opening Scene, Opening Portrait, Closing Scene, Photos or Videos.
Check the Preview to see how it looks.

More logos

Click Add logos under More logos to save other logos, such as a second brand or a partner. You can save up to 20. Click Make main to use one as your main logo.

Can families remove our logo?

No. You can turn it off for a single photo or scene yourself in Edit Your Tribute.

Is there a file size limit?

Yes. Each logo must be 5 MB or smaller. PNG, JPG, WebP and SVG files work.

We are a branch. Whose logo shows?

Until you add your own, your head office's logo is used.

3. Your own music library

Upload your own music so it appears at the top of the music list for your families.

Go to the Settings tab and click Media Library.
Open Upload Stock Music and click Upload Music.
Choose an MP3, WAV, AAC or M4A file.
Press the play button on a track to listen to it.
Drag tracks to change their order. Click Remove to take one away.

Open Client Preview to see how your uploads show first, above our own library, in the family's tribute.

Can we use any song?

Please only upload music you have the right to use.

How is this different from Music Default?

Music Default picks the music each new tribute starts with. Upload Stock Music adds songs families can choose from.

4. Your own stock images and videos

Upload your own images and video clips so families see them first in the stock lists.

Go to the Settings tab and click Media Library.
Open Upload Stock Images and click Upload Image. JPG, PNG and WebP files work.
Open Upload Stock Videos and click Upload Video. MP4, WebM and MOV files work.
Drag items to change their order.
To take one away, click its remove button.
Open Client Preview to see how they look to families.

Where do families see these?

At the top of the stock images and stock videos lists, above our own library.

Can we use any image?

Please only upload images and videos you have the right to use.

5. Invite limits and what families can use by default

Choose which limits appear when you invite a family, and the values each new invite starts with.

Go to the Settings tab and click Invitations.
Under Client Invitation Limits, switch on Media Limit, Time Limit or Family editing end date.
Enter a starting value for each: photos and videos, minutes, or days after the invite. Leave it empty for no limit.
Switch on QR Code or Copy Preview Link to show those buttons on each tribute row.
Switch on Upload Link for a link that only lets people add photos and videos, with no editing or preview.
Under Visible sections for clients, tick the parts of the tribute the upload link shows.

You can still change the limits for any family. Open their row on the Tributes tab and click Limits, then Save Settings.

What happens after the family editing end date?

The family can no longer make changes. The tribute is kept until it's deleted, and you can still edit it.

Can the editing end date be after the tribute is deleted?

No. It can only be set within your Tribute active period.

6. Email choices

Choose which emails go to families and which ones come to you.

Go to the Settings tab and click Account.
Under Family Tribute Communications, switch Setup invitation email on or off.
Switch on Final step reminders for daily emails to the family near the end. Set Start reminders at to choose how many days before.
Under Funeral Home Staff Notifications, choose Copies of Family Tribute Reminders and Deleted-tribute confirmations.
Under Emails we send you, click Choose emails for more choices, then click Save my choices.

If Setup invitation email is off, you'll need to share invite links with families yourself.

Choose emails lets you pick Tribute activity, Deleted-tribute confirmations, Copies of daily reminders, Tips & getting started and News & promotions.

Can I stop the warnings before a tribute is deleted?

No. The warnings 7 days and 1 day before deletion are always sent.

What is Tribute activity?

Emails when a family submits a tribute, approves a preview or finishes uploading media.

7. Status indicators

Every tribute always shows its status, so there is nothing to switch on in Settings.

Each row on the Tributes tab shows a status word, such as In progress or Video ready, and the days left. A coloured line down the left side helps you scan a long list.

There is no setting to hide them. To see what each status means, read the Tributes list.
